Pep Guardiola, the head coach of the powerful Premier League club Manchester City, revealed in his latest interview that Arling Haaland, the main striker who is resting due to a leg injury, will be able to play for the team again after the Club World Cup.

23-year-old Norwegian international striker Arling Haaland is Manchester City’s main scorer. He has played 22 games for Manchester City in all competitions this season, scoring 19 goals and providing 5 assists.

Haaland has scored consecutive goals for Manchester City this season but has been sidelined since Villa’s 1-0 win over Manchester City on December 7 due to a leg injury.

As Manchester City did not make a detailed announcement regarding Haaland’s injury, fans thought that Haaland would be in tonight’s match between Manchester City and Palace, but Manchester City head coach Guardiola revealed in a pre-match interview that Haaland has not yet recovered from the injury.

Regarding Haaland’s injury, Guardiola said: “There is no concern about Haaland’s injury. His leg bone was not cracked. Just pretending. We hope that Arlin will come with us to Saudi Arabia. After the match against Palace we will check if he can play in the Club World Cup. Even if he can’t play in the first game, we expect him to play in the second game,” he said.

Manchester City will play the World Club Cup semi-final against Japanese club Urawa on December 20th, and if they win that match, Manchester City will have to compete in the World Club Cup final on December 23rd.
